Fed: AMA call for Pat Clear s resignation from PBAC

CANBERRA, Feb 8 AAP - Doctors today called for the resignation of the former drug industry
lobbyist just appointed to the government's drug advisory board.

Federal Health Minister Michael Wooldridge has come under fire for his appointment
of drug company executive Pat Clear to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee
(PBAC), bringing about an alleged conflict of interest.

Mr Clear is also a director of biopharmaceutical company FuCell.

Australian Medical Association (AMA) president Kerryn Phelps said if Mr Clear did not
stand down …
