Mar. 28--Former Siena center Michael Haddix said he always hoped for the chance to play professional basketball. But he never figured he would have a shot at professional football, too. Haddix, a 6-foot-6, 255-pound center whose eligibility expired after this past season, has drawn the interest of at least one NFL team. The Minnesota Vikings contacted Saints coach Fran McCaf this week to ask about Haddix's hands, agility, size and attitude, perhaps with the thought of turning the 1,500-point scorer into a tight end.
